Hi! My name is Kristen DeVries, I’m a level 5 Master Stylist at The Headroom North.

I am a genuine born and bred Grande Prairian, I reside here with my husband, two sons, and our two dogs Stan and Gus.

I’ve always had a love and deep interest for hair, being truly inspired by Vidal Sassoon,  I chose to attend Eveline Charles Academy. I graduated in 2010 and came home to work under the most incredible boss, leader and teacher, and I’ve never looked back. I have spent the entirety of my 9.5 year career with The Headroom. Its home

I highly value continued education, the learning and growing never stops and the opportunities have been endless. From travelling to Toronto. Montreal, and Boston to having some of the industries best come teach in salon classes .

I love all aspects of the hair-styling craft, but I am most passionate about design ( cutting) and coloring. I enjoy men, ladies and kids cuts. I love coloring anything from virgin hair to grey coverage, brunettes. to blondes and everything in between. However, if fashion colors and perms are what you’re craving, I am not your girl .

As passionate as I am about the technical side, the relationships I have with my clients are just as important to me. I want you to always feel comfortable and spoiled from the time you sit in my chair to the moment you leave, I do my best to make every appointment a special occasion for you.  If it weren’t for my amazing guests, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I am very excited to meet you and to add you to my client family!

My family and I love to be outdoors spending time in nature, we love to camp.

I have a very large family, and often times even now, I’ll still meet some complete stranger that is apart of some branch of the ole family tree.

I hate the taste and smell of coffee.

My Husband and I have birthdays only one day apart.

I very much dislike getting my own hair done, I’m very impatient.
